Toledo Fire Department gears up to reveal rare Jeep fire engine at the 2018 Toledo Jeep Fest

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) – A piece of Toledo history is getting a tune up and getting cleaned up.

And it’s sure to catch many Jeep® enthusiasts off guard at Jeep Fest this year.

Built in the 1960s a rare Jeep fire truck is currently in the hands of the Toledo Fire Department, but it will be on display at Jeep Fest during the weekend of August 10.

Announcing the 2018 Toledo Jeep Fest Raffle!

Toledo Jeep® Fest is thrilled to announce the newest feature of the 2018 event!

Jeepers are daring by nature and are willing to look past the odds in the name of adventure. This year, festival attendees will be able to enter for a chance to win a 24-month lease on a brand-new Jeep Wrangler from Yark Automotive Group or other various Jeep upgrades!

Tickets will be $25 for a single entry, $50 for three, or $100 for ten and can be purchased online or at designated kiosks at the event on Saturday, August 11th.

Celebrating Jeep® on Conklin & Company

Our very own Kevin Mullan, Director of Partnership Development joins Conklin & Company to talk all things 2018 Toledo Jeep® Fest. They discuss festival events over the weekend, the nationwide reach of the event and the impact of the iconic Jeep Brand in Toledo, as well as fundraising and key partnerships. “It doesn’t get more Toledo than Jeep,” said Mullan.

2018 Toledo Jeep Fest expected to draw at least 60,000 participants

On Tuesday, organizers released a map of the All-Jeep parade route. It will start at the corner of Lafayette Street and turn onto Summit Street past the Seagate Centre to Jackson Street. Organizer Jerry Huber told 13abc “when the parade route ends at Jackson, then we’ll be parking between 1,000 and 1,500 Jeeps back in the city streets which are closed… filled with diagonally parked Jeeps from all over the United States.”

Jeep Fest smashes fundraising goal

With the second running of the Toledo Jeep® Fest less than three months away, organizers say they’ve raised twice as much money as they had originally targeted — a clear sign that the event has generated a buzz within the off-road community.

“The response locally and nationally has been incredible,” said Kevin Mullan, director of partnership development for Toledo Jeep Fest.
